Christmas cheer abounds, the good folk of Higham Ferrers are huddled together toasting their good fortune and making merry whilst dreaming of sweat treats and stolen kisses under the mistletoe. Then in from the cold and snow, a gentle rumble gathers, at first far away and distant, a memory of Christmases from long ago, (the nineties mostly). A whisper on the cold winter winds that gathers and speaks gently of bumper festive editions of the Radio Times, of Noels House Party Xmas Specials, of Spirographs, Big Trak, My Little Ponies, and Return of the Jedi on the telly.
The Retro have arrived, they've set up their speakers like giddy elves and have caused a stir at the soundcheck as the anticipation builds and the tables are cleared away to make room for dancing and feasting.
And then at once Dan steps forth and exclaims to the expectant folk, "Come in and know us better man!".
And lo, the merriment begins.
