Join WAKE UPP and our official partner, **Mahogany Blue**, for an empowering afternoon of storytelling, community, and vital conversation at **The Red Ribbon Monologues & Community Voices**.
The Red Ribbon Monologues will blend with **real-life testimonials** from our community, creating a unique and impactful mix of performance and personal testimony.
This powerful experience is created to center Black women, amplify our voices, and create space for healing, laughter, and truth-telling. This event will also features original monologues written by Ayanna R. Walters, RN BSN , inspired by her over 18 years of dedicated work as an HIV research nurse and founder of Wake Upp.
Inspired by the Vagina Monologues, this event uses storytelling, comedy, and open dialogue to spark essential conversations around sexual health, PrEP, and HIV prevention in a destigmatizing and affirming environment.
Guests will enjoy dinner, onsite health screenings and STI testing, childcare, and opportunities to connect with local resources. The event will be hosted by **COCO, the Queen of Comedy**, who will bring her signature humor and energy to an afternoon rooted in empowerment, education, and care.
This is a free event and all are welcome. Registration is required.
