Join us for the highly anticipated premiere of “The Rebirth of Kool” Pilot at the Wortham Center for the Performing Arts on November 2, 2024! Shot locally in Hendersonville, Brevard, and Asheville, this dazzling series pilot features a star-studded cast of talent bringing the magic of the 1940s to life. Based on the hit novel of the same name by local author, actor, and entertainer Otto Vazquez, the storyline is anchored in true life events of WWII era Los Angeles like the Zoot Suit Riots and other, lesser-known chapters in history. This production is presented by Fesiuk Films, known for its popular films on Amazon, Freevee, and Roku, including hits like Rosebud Lane and Origins Untold. They are rising stars in the film industry. Additionally, Nu Paradigm Entertainment, recognized for their talent on shows such as American Soul on BET and The Breakin’ Convention from the UK, has joined forces in this unique collaboration. This special union has brought this series to life.
The pilot hosts remarkable musical talent like Harold O’Neal (Pixar’s Soul) and his title track “Do Right”, Juan Benavides (Old Ways, La Llorona) and an original version of “Como Fue.” We were blessed with an Oscar-winning hair stylist lead with Patricia Gail Hensley (Titanic, West Side Story, Killers of the Flower Moon) and up-in-coming actors like Erik Bello (Cobra Kai, The Walking Dead) and Otto Vazquez (Origins Untold, Broadway).
This special event is not just a premiere; it’s a fundraiser to help propel the series to major platforms. Come as you are or have fun and dress in your best! =D Don your finest 1940s attire and step back in time for a night of glitz, glamour, and incredible entertainment. This is a red carpet premiere, so think like the Oscars. It's your night to look nice out in town. =P Don’t miss your chance to be part of this spectacular evening! We cannot wait to see you!
