The Rebirth Fashion Weekend

Background:

PBFW (Pitch Black Fashion Week) is not in its 6th year. Instead of putting together a large fashion week for 2021 we decided to keep the name and vision alive by continuing the PBFW Black Excellence Award Gala. Our platform is about spreading awareness about domestic violence. We have traveled the production back and forth to Philadelphia, PA in order to pay homage to the person that inspired the production in the first place, Vanessa Banks, a young model/mother of 3 that was murdered by her then fiancé. PBFW became more than just a fashion week, it is a platform to highlight designers, models and other business entities all while providing a voice for those who were silenced. On July 24th, we will be celebrating excellence in our community and honoring small businesses in our field for the contributions they give to society. After this date, the nominations will close and the voting will begin for those who had the most nominations in their category.

"The Rebirth Fashion Show" is the production for our clothing brand Scripted1 The Collection (Couture) and SAINT XIV, (Ready to Wear). Scripted1 is now celebrating 18 years in the fashion industry. The mission behind the clothing brand is the same, to spread awareness about domestic violence. Each garment is made with care and designed to fit a specific individual's personality. Our designer is a survivor as well and this why we use our clothing as poetry in motion. It is not uncommon for people to associate being beautiful with what you wear, whether it is your hair, make-up or just garments itself. Our job is to help enhance that feeling. At Scripted1 we are not just a brand, we are a lifestyle. Since we are rebranding and rebuilding the brand is essentially being reborn, hence "The Rebirth".
