The Real State of AI in Construction Management

A panel discussion on implementing AI in within construction and engineering teams

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
AI is showing up across the entire construction lifecycle- not just on the job site, but within design teams, pre-construction and pre-bid planning, proposals, project management, field reporting, and closeout. From the earliest idea of a project through delivery to the owner, AI is increasingly becoming part of how work is planned, documented, communicated, and managed.

This moderated panel offers a practical look at the current state of AI in construction: what it can realistically do today, where teams are seeing quick wins, and why long-term value comes from systems and thoughtful implementation rather than one-off tools. The discussion focuses on starting small, learning quickly, and building confidence through real-world use- not predictions or hype.

FEATURED SPEAKER
This panel will be led by Nick Wall (KTE Analytics), an AI strategist and systems consultant who works with construction and engineering teams to integrate AI across the full project lifecycle- from early planning and pre-bid work through execution, reporting, and closeout. His focus is on practical, low-friction adoption that moves organizations beyond one-off tools toward repeatable, useful systems.

The discussion will be moderated by Jesse Hoppes (Leaaf Environmental) in a guided, fireside-style format and will include additional industry operators (panelists TBD) actively implementing AI within their organizations. Panelists will share candid perspectives on what’s working, what hasn’t, and how teams are approaching AI adoption in a realistic, iterative way, with audience questions helping shape the conversation.
