About this Event
The Children’s and Young People Publisher Roadshow is an annual event hosted by The Reading Agency for librarians, teachers and publishers to connect.
The Reading Agency is a UK charity with a mission to empower everyone to read. Evidence shows that reading improves health and wellbeing, life chances and social connections. The Reading Agency champions access to the proven power of reading by providing activities for all ages. Working with public libraries, prisons, schools, hospitals and other community settings, we reach over two million people a year. But with a UK population of over 67 million that's not nearly enough. We want to get more people fired up about reading and events such as our roadshows help us achieve our mission.
The Children’s and Young People Publisher Roadshow is an opportunity for librarians and teachers to hear from our publishing partners and authors about their most exciting titles for children and young people and to ask questions about promotional opportunities and more. Last year we had over 1,600 delegates who took part across the two days (the Adult Reading Partners Roadshow will be happening on the 26 November). 98% of respondents to our feedback survey last found the day useful or extremely useful.
During this session librarians will hear from:
- Rock the Boat
- Oxford University Press
- Usborne
- Macmillan Children's Books
Plus! Hear more from The Reading Agency as we share updates on our work to get the nation reading and how you can get involved.
There will also be exclusive giveaways for those who attend, and a delegate pack provided ahead of the event.
