Parents are Thomas "Da Answer" Rankins Jr. and Brandy "BrandyWine" Rankins.

• SiblingsBraelyn has three siblings: Jah'Mir, Brielle, and Toma'rez.
• Braelyn has appeared in Faith Under Fire, Doom Patrol, GENIUS: Aretha, Hap and Leonard, Disney's Lady and the Tramp, and Mufasa: The Lion King. He also covered "Rise Up" by Andra Day.
• Braelyn's parents co-own the family media company, Life and Legacy Media. Brandy also co-hosts the family podcast, Life With the Rankins: A Conversation of Faith, Family, and Film.
• Other Rankins family members include:
  Sister Brielle is an actor who appeared in the HBO Max movie 8-Bit Christmas.
  Brother, Toma'rez, serves in the military and is studying directing in college.
