Music & More Performing and Visual Arts Center presents our Little Folks Theater cast (ages 5 - 12) in the children's musical "The Rainbow Fish" on Saturday, November 15th at 3:00 pm and Sunday, November 16th at 3:00 pm. Tickets are $15 General Admission and can be purchased through our Ludus Box Office or at the door. The Rainbow Fish Musical, with book, music and lyrics by Austin Zumbro, is adapted from the international bestseller and award-winning book,The Rainbow Fish, by Marcus Pfister translated into English by J. Alison James, with illustrations by Marcus Pfister.
This colorful, family friendly musical features a variety of charming school and sea-creature characters who admire the famous Rainbow Fish, the most beautiful fish in all the ocean. When Rainbow Fish refuses to share her vibrant, shimmering scales, the whole ocean seems to turn against the vain creature. Unhappy that no one adores her anymore, the Rainbow Fish seeks out the wise Octopus and his jelly fish minions. Octopus helps the young fish learn that it’s far better to be admired for being kind than for being beautiful. With a bubbly, energetic score, the universal message at the heart of this one-of-a-kind musical becomes much more than just a simple children’s story with its wonderful message of friendship and belonging.
