A conversation unpacking the harmful stereotyping of perpetrators and survivors, why these representations and binaries exist and how gender ideas frame our views.
The Disobedient Survivors host needed conversations around deeper issues with rape culture that are not often spoken about in mainstream media or survivor services.
TDS are slut positive, anti-capitalist, pro-sex work and hold no space for transphobia, misogyny, racism, homophobia, body shaming, victim blaming, xenophobia, ablism or any kind of discrimination or abuse of power. Lewis Wedlock is an activist, academic and social psychologist. He is one of the UK’s youngest lecturers at 23 years old. He is the social action lead at Project Zazi, a mental health movement within OTR Bristol that works primarily with young people of colour aged 11-25.
