The Quintet, returning to Housmans, have played together for 15 years, features Dick Pearce (trumpet) famed for his lengthy stint working in the late Ronnie Scott band and Mike Blakesley (trombone) a tour de force on the UK jazz scene since 1962.They will be supported by the rhythmic drive and energy of pianist Stuart Goodhew, double bassist Chris Bolton and drummer Gary Santry.
Expect an exciting evening of foot tapping, upbeat swing, mainstream and bebop jazz interspersed with colourful Latin and original compositions.
