Described by past participants as "completely transformational," The Quest helps you become more present, attentive, and open to new experiences. You'll gain powerful insights and understand the significance of larger patterns in your life and on stage. No prior improvisation or storytelling experience is needed—just bring your open mind and willingness to participate.

The Quest unfolds in three parts:

1. The Workshop: Learn the fundamentals of the Quest, the improvisational mindset, storytelling, and how to embark on your journey.
2. The Quest: Venture out into Amsterdam to apply what you've learned and discover new insights.
3. Story Sharing: Return to share and reflect on your experiences with fellow participants.

Lunch is not provided, but many people incorporate a meal into their Quest.

Part of the workshop takes place outdoors, please dress appropriately for Amsterdam's dynamic weather. The Quest proceeds rain or shine!

The Quest: Improv for Transfomation is based on an improv activty created by Del Close. Since being re-discovered in 2014, dozens of Quest workshops have been held in cities across the globe. In 2015, Quest workshops were held in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Chicago, Dumaguete, Philippines and in Montreal at the Applied Improvisation Network Annual Conference, where the exercise was introduced to over forty practitioners of applied improvisation from around the world. In 2016, Quest workshops were held in Hong Kong, London, Helsinki, Copenhagen, Trondheim, Norway, Berlin, and Oxford, England as part of the AIN Annual Conference, and in Austin, Texas as part of SXSW Eco Other cities include Munich, Paris, Los Angeles, New York, Avila, Spain, and Vancouver, Canada.
