Our evening will begin with a Trataka candle-gazing meditation. This ancient meditation practice is a simple yet profound way to increase concentration and bring calm and clarity to the mind, making it the perfect stepping stone to the next part of our experiential journey together:
The question.
You will be given some quiet reflective time to write down your question or questions. This part of the process will be personal and private; and your question will only be known by you.
Who am I?
Why am I here?
Where am I going?
What is the larger purpose of my life?
Remember, no question is too big and no question is too small.
Next we will transition into a contemplative yin yoga practice involving variations of seated and supine poses typically held for 3 to 5 minutes. With a focus on stillness, yin influences the subtle energy in the body and targets mostly the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, and lower spine. This grounding and introspective practice is intended to release resistance and remove blockages in the physical, energetic, and emotional body. Relax deeply in savasana while being serenaded with a LIVE soundscape of soothing bamboo chimes inspired by the elements of earth, water, air, and fire.
Beginners are welcome. Long-time practitioners are welcome. All are welcome!
