All Souls Welcome this All Soul's Eve as we're turning 7,000 square feet of prime Manhattan real estate into a mind-bending, kaleidoscopic underworld circus! Explore 7 historic interconnected rooms filled with spirit spires, ancestor magic, and the Assemblyās unique brand of trickster energy.
They call it "shadow work," but why can't it be "shadow play"?
Remember as kids how we'd morph into creatures of the night, run the streets, scaring the shit out of each other, ANDābest of allātake candy from weird strangers with permission? Well, we're bringing that vibe backādancing with the dark side, laughing at death, and collectively remembering that our fears are only as real as we allow them to be.
Get spooky in our Dance of the Dead Hall, with the much anticipated return of legendary DJ Preskool, while the incredible DJ Ash Wood brings the chill vibes to the Athenaeum. Experience an epic light show by (of course amazing) VJ Joeās Amazing Lights, with on-site harm reduction from DanceSafe.
Muertos Amados: Altar Activation: To celebrate the holiday, weāre offering a special Samhain ritual. Ash Wood will also be leading us as we activate our ancestor altar together on all soulsā eveāa night when the veils are thin, and the dead dance with the living.

PreSkool is a DJ, music producer and manipulator of light. He has been DJing since 2003, and has monthly residencies at Union Pool, Coyote Club, Sundown Bar.
While selecting across the musical spectrum both temporally and culturally, current focus is on contemporary and classic electronic dance music. Site includes mixes, videos, photography, event calendar and a interactive Blog discussing Electronic Dance Music along with other aspects of Dance Culture.

Ash Wood has been spinning psychedelic sounds in forests, fields, beaches, nightclubs, and warehouses since 1997. He draws from an extensive electronic and world music archive while DJing, weaving electronic invocations, organic melodies, and ancestral rhythms into a vibrant energetic container that calls all presence into the heart of the dance.
Ash has been practicing various wisdom traditions for upwards of 30 years, and studying with American Indigenous elders continually since 2008. As a non-binary human, he strives to bring a balance of logic and spirit into all things.

Joe Petrowski is a creative designer who specializes in imaginative lighting design. When heās not geeking out in the box office with Tessitura releases, Joe can be found creating memorable moments for thousands of spectators through dazzling and spectacular lighting displays and installations. Joe has collaborated with various musical artists and production companies creating unique entertainment experiences. Credits include Art Bath, The Q, Laissez Faire, Mission Nightclub, Hearsay, Knockdowncenter, New York City Gay Menās Chorus, Macyās Santaland, Mckittrick Hotel & Insomniac, and Walt Disney World.
