The pride center of Maryland presents: KIKI AND CAREERS

Kiki & Careers: Elevating Culture, Empowering Futures
The Kiki & Careers event will feature a community discussion focused on the current state of the ballroom scene. Together, we’ll explore what changes are needed to help the scene thrive and hear directly from youth about what they’d like to see to elevate the experience for both current and new participants.
In addition to this conversation, the event will include:
- Job readiness and preparation workshops to help youth build confidence and professional skills
- A “Dress for Success” session with access to a free clothing closet so participants can take home attire for interviews or work
- Vendors offering on-the-spot interviews and sharing job and internship opportunities
- Access to free GED programs and educational resources to support continued learning
- Free raffles and prizes throughout the day
- Grilled food and refreshments for all attendees
- A CityScene Ball to close out the event with celebration, creativity, and community
This event is about building a future where LGBTQ+/SGL youth feel seen, supported, and unstoppable.
