A tale set in two times, the UK in the 1950s and the present day, The Pride charts the struggles and seismic changes in attitudes to sexuality that have taken place over 60 years in Britain. The past’s tortuous emotional triangle: ‘Philip’, an estate agent married to ‘Sylvia’ but is attracted to ‘Oliver’. In the present, the names are the same, but the characters are different. Times change, attitudes change but do people really change?
