About this Event
The art world is (re)discovering women, their presence and contribution to art history. Museums are frantically examining their huge collections to give justice to overlooked stories of women and there is so much to see! The National Gallery Tour Part 1 covers the period 1300's-1600's (click here to see Part1), whilst Part 2 is about the period 1600's-early 1900's.
We will see examples of women in the arts as:
- represented in paintings
- artists themselves
- art patrons and collectors
Note: for safety reasons, the max number of participants is 10 per tour. For Part 1, you can choose either Saturday 22nd or Tuesday 25th January (click here to see Part 1), for Part 2 you can come either Saturday 29th January or Tuesday 1st February.
Meet up: you will receive details via email the day before the event.
