About this Event

"Happiness and suffering are feelings – parts of our mind – and so their main causes are not to be found outside the mind. If we really want to be truly happy and free from suffering we must improve our understanding of the mind." – Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche

Do you ever feel like you're at the mercy of your circumstances? Buddha's teachings reveal a surprising truth: our suffering stems not from external events, but from our own mental reactions to them. By coming to understand how our mind works, we can transform the negative ways of thinking that cause our daily problems, and cultivate lasting inner peace and happiness.

During this brief half-day course we will explore the nature of the mind and how its inner workings shape our daily lives. Through both guided meditation and practical teachings, you'll learn to understand the nature, power and some of the essential functions of your own mind, and come to know how this understanding can be used to change your relationship with difficult people and circumstances, and cultivate greater levels of inner peace in your daily life.

Everyone is welcome regardless of experience.
