“Anchored: How to Befriend Your Nervous System Using Polyvagal Theory”
Polyvagal Theory, created by Dr. Stephen Porges, highlights how the autonomic nervous system affects emotions, social connection, and stress. It outlines three states: The ventral vagal complex for social connection and calmness; the sympathetic nervous system for flight-or-flight reactions; and the dorsal vagal complex for shutdown responses. Yoga supports this theory by using breathwork, movement, mindfulness, and meditation to help regulate and anchor into your ventral state. Beginners and all are welcome!
In this immersion, you will:
- learn about the Polyvagal theory
- create your own personal Polyvagal map to help you navigate these states
- participate in an all level slow flow which connects yoga practices to a more regulated nervous system
- $99 includes a book by Deb Dana
