Northumberland Schools Library Service and Literature Works present a one-day conference for primary school leaders and teachers.About this Event
We aim to provide a unique opportunity for primary school leaders and teachers to engage with us, listen to keynote speakers, share practice and participate in workshops aimed at sharing practical and relevant strategies for the primary classroom.
Themes to be Explored:
- Choosing poems: engaging readers. How to expose & develop a rich vocabulary to support children’s ability to make sense of the text.
- Writing Poetry. Exploring ways to engage pupils to write; developing imagery and inspiring vocabulary choices
- Poets and Poetry for your curriculum. Exploring the range of poets, poetic formats and themes
- Cost: £100 for SLS or Literature Works subscribers. Non-subscribers £120.
- Small Schools (under 50 pupils) £50. Non-subscribing schools £60.
- Refreshments & lunch included.
- SLS will invoice/recharge schools directly.
- Refunds will not be made after the 22nd December 2024.
