All are welcome. Regardless of your relationship status, your personal identities or preferences, we strive to create a safe space for you. You don't have to be in a relationship to benefit from this retreat.
WHAT
Relationship challenges don't usually arise from a lack of care. They stem from a difficulty in navigating conflict productively. We want to move closer, but we don't know how.
Most of us didn't get very helpful communication training. We were told:
- be nice & agreeable
- don't be loud
- just use I statements
- downplay the importance of what you’re experiencing,
- get logical and fix it
- find someone to blame
- point out the downside of the other person's point
Conflicts will happen. We just need to learn how to make them worthwhile!

- Learn to express yourself with blamelessness even when you’re hurt or mad.
- Learn to read each other’s cues and to respond with something called “micro-reassurance”.
- You will become more familiar with your needs so you can express them with gusto!
ABOUT US
We are both incredibly passionate about supporting couples to navigate moments of missed connections and create more closeness because of how much relationships matter to us.
Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) are the two guiding principles in the work we share.
Leif is an LCSW with more than a decade of experience working with couples. Eze has been a relationship coach for seven years.
