Yoga is an energetic practice which is why we see the elements of breathwork, the utilization of bandhas and mudras in yoga classes. Pranayama: breath work is one of the most powerful tools accessible to yogis. So much so that therapists and doctors alike often prescribe breathing techniques to their patients. Bandhas and mudras are also energetic elements that can be used with the breath or as a stand alone practice to support your energy needs. This practice is suitable for anyone who is looking for a deep dive into the practices of moving energy throughout your system even though it is labeled as continuing education.
Through our time together you will have time to connect to the power of your own breath and observe your experience. We will learn how to sequence pranayama, how to access bandhas and their locations as well as how to effectively teach bandhas to students in a public setting. You will learn the intention and meaning behind mudra practice and how they support the flow of energy within.
This practice will bring new clarity to your sequencing and personal practice as we dive deep into the beauty of the sometimes forgotten aspects of the yoga tradition.
Includes a reference guide to assist your practice further.
For students of yoga teacher training programs will receive 4 CEU’s. Register at https://momence.com/Prana-Yoga-Center/The-Power-of-Breath%2C-Bhandas-%26-Mudras/125599628?skipPreview=true
