Yes, we are bringing Stoke Cult Film Club home.... back to The Potteries Museum. Our home coming film is Stand by Me: Based on a book by Stephen King, ‘Stand by Me’ 1986 (Cert 15) is a masterpiece coming of age movie which is packed with many of Hollywood’s finest actors setting out on their careers. Set in 1959 four 12-year-old boys set out to search for the body of a missing local boy…
Its director Rob Reiner and his wife were tragically found dead in their home in L.A. last December. This film is Reiner’s love letter to friendship and nostalgic memories and we are screening it as a fitting tribute to him.
Refreshments from 6pm and during the interval, we will kick off the evening at 7pm with some fun facts about the film that you may not know. Tickets £5, please call 01782 232323 or email: [email protected] to book or pay on the door. Also see our Instagram page: instagram.com/StokeCultFilmClub
