The Potential of Color with Claire Hampton
This 3-day workshop is taught by an art educator and painter with 40+ years’
experience! With just eleven pigments, you can create all the colors you need. Color properties and their relationships will be covered. We will work with acrylics, vinyls, or gouache. Cardstock printed with grids is provided for students to create their color mixing reference chart. Supply list will be provided. Workshop is best suited for intermediate and advanced painters. $65
Day 1: Lecture, demonstrations, and mix paint.
Day 2: Mixing and playing; Complete a color reference chart then use the colors to create something with your favorite colors.
Day 3: Application to an image; using what you have learned, paint from a still life set up or from reference photo provided to use one of your color schemes.
