An illustrated Afternoon talk presented by Neil Wright and organised by the Society for Lincolnshire History & Archaeology as part of their Golden Jubilee celebrations.
The most prosperous period for the town and port of Boston in the last 700 years was in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Boston then became the largest, richest, most dynamic plqce in Lincolnshire. This talk will tell you how and why that happened, and what destroyed that successful episode.
