About this Event
If you long to see a the Gospel spread, the church of the 616 reenergized, and the city-wide church to link arms for our common mission then we would love to have you join us to eat, prayer, learn, and dream together.
Our gatherings are filled with a diverse group of pastors, everday disicples, marketplace leaders, and non-profit leaders.
January Topic: "Assessing My Health as a Leader."
How does a leader know if they are healthy or what areas to work on? In this session, we will explore some aspects of ministry and leadership health and the practices you can use to get healthier. We will talk about building your own health support team and crafting a plan for sustainable leadership health. Healthy leaders lead healthier teams.
We will be joined by Sean Nemecek. Sean Nemecek is the author of The Weary Leader’s Guide to Burnout and the West Michigan Regional Director for Pastor-in-Residence Ministries. Sean served as a pastor for 18 years before joining PIR. Now he works as both a spiritual director and ministry coach — specializing in coaching people through burnout and helping organizations develop an anti-burnout culture. He is all about helping people feel seen, heard, and known in the welcoming presence of our loving God.
As we step into a new year, here are two assessments you could take beforehand to assess your own health:
- Pastoral Health Assessment - https://pirministries.org/(middle of the home page)
- Assesments useful for anyone in 7 areas of life - https://domainassessments.org/
In the midst of division, decline, and disruption we (www.plant616.org) believe the time is ripe to come together in the 616. It’s time to rally to Jesus for renewal, to reach beyond our silos in kingdom friendships, and to link arms as a community of missional disciples, church/ministry leaders, and kingdom dreamers to see the 616 saturated with the love and good news of Jesus.
We gather on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 11:30a-1:30p - @ rotating locations.
