Gen is an emerging artist from Woolgoolga, recently returning from Brisbane where she studied her Bachelor of Visual Arts. Her practice draws on personal experiences, memories, and everyday encounters, using art as a way to observe, question, and make sense of the surrounding world with curiosity and appreciation.At the heart of Gen’s work is a belief that creativity is for everyone. She values play, experimentation, and the freedom to “give it a go,” embracing the idea that everything is a learning process rather than a finished outcome. Mistakes, feedback, and guidance
are welcomed as essential parts of making and growing.
This first solo exhibition and pop-up space reflects a “now or never” mindset, a reminder that there is no perfect time to begin, only the moment to start. Alongside her artwork, Gen invites audiences of all ages and skill levels into the crafting space, encouraging hands-on making, shared experiences, and creative exploration.
Through art-making, workshops, and community participation, Gen hopes to foster connection, joy, and confidence, creating a space where people can slow down, have fun, and reconnect with their creativity together.
