The Pinkerton Raid’s songwriter Jesse James DeConto hails from New England, with dad’s guitar and mom’s radio tuned to Soulsville, The Village, Liverpool and Laurel Canyon, now mining foothills-folk in Durham, N.C., for songs AMERICANA-UK calls “anthemic.” With their latest release of winter-themed cover songs, the band takes on those classic mellow-gold sounds directly, bookending their sonic journey with a pop-noir version of Vince Guaraldi's "Christmas Time Is Here" and a driving, drum-circle and brass-polished rendition of folk-rock descendants Fleet Foxes' "White Winter Hymnal.”The band’s first foray into studio-quality cover songs fits cozily amidst a soulful Americana catalogue that critics have compared to Bowie, Neil Young, Iron & Wine and Wilco. “Radiant,” says AMERICAN SONGWRITER. “A fine blend of Beatles-esque dreamy folk,” says AMERICANA HIGHWAYS.
The band has opened for Illiterate Light, The Ballroom Thieves, TopHouse, The Collection and Noah Gundersen. They’ve slotted at Daytrotter and at festivals like Shakori Hills, Albino Skunk, H St., Beacon Bonfire and AVL Fest with artists such as Sunny War, Amythyst Kiah, River Whyless, Watchhouse and The Bones of JR Jones.

Pink Beds sits at the intersection of spacious grooves and lush song-crafting. If All I Have, the band's debut LP, was a love letter to the sounds that surrounded them in Appalachia, the March 2024 follow-up, Spare Key To A Memory, is a nuanced and evolved form, showcasing their love of lush, angular, and ethereal sounds designed to resonate with our deepest emotional experiences.
Shifting from a lockdown songwriting project to an electrifying live act, the band has taken on a vibrant and captivating quality all to their own. Playing o of the spark of a live environment, the band evolves and expands upon their familiar compositions, taking them to new and exciting places. After securing a foothold in southeast
markets, becoming a FloydFest On-the-Rise artist, a Relix Magazine Sonic Showdown Finalist, and making prominent regional festival appearances, the band is eager to bring these new songs and experiences to audiences throughout 2024.
Pink Beds from Asheville, NC comprises Aaron Aiken (Vocals, Guitar, Keys, Synths), Jackson Van Horn
(Guitar, Keys, Synths), Logan Hall (Bass, Synths), and Ryan Sargent (Drums, Percussion). The group explores
their shared influences nurtured by a deep bond with one another.
