Learn the tricks to making your very own delicious pies with expert baking team of Honeypie Cafe. This class is taught by Honeypie's Co-Founder and Chief Executive Pie Officer, Valeri Lucks.
How much fun is it to make lil' hand pies? You know the ones...also called turnovers, tarts, pasties, pop-tarts... This workshop taught by our founder and Chief Executive Pie Officer, Valeri Lucks will teach you how to make youre very own pocket pies. Perfect for treating yourself or gifting for Valentine's Day.
In this class, we will learn:
- to make pie dough for our pocket pies
- how to roll, shape and cut it into hearts and other shapes of your choosing
- how to fill and bake your pies using an easy to make filling (recipe provided!)
- how to decorate your pocket pies before and after they are fully baked for different design effects
- you will leave class with a box of 6 completed pocket pies and dough to take home to make more.
Our classes are held inside the Honeypie Bakeshop kitchen inside our sister cafe Palomino, this hands-on class will guide you through a variety of different aspects of baking and give you a peek into the life of our bakeshop. Class does have us standing most of the time and working at a table in a professional kitchen. Should you need a seated option for class, please contact us and we can make arrangements.
Tickets for class include a tap beer, well cocktail, glass of wine, or NA beverage of your choice - all of your ingredients, a printed recipe with instructions, and your finished treats!
Classes are approximately 2.5-3 hours and are limited to 12 people. The Palomino kitchen and bar is open before class and during class serving drinks and our full dinner menu.

If you need to cancel within 72 hours of class, you are welcome to email us, and we will offer your spot to a person on the waiting list. If it is taken by someone waiting, we will refund your ticket. You are also welcome to give your ticket to a friend and they can attend in your place.)
Tickets for class includes all of your ingredients, your finished treats, a recipe with tips and tricks and a drink ticket for the bar.
