Learn the tricks to making flaky, buttery, from-scratch biscuits with Honeypie's founder and Chief Executive Pie Officer, Valeri Lucks.
Held inside our Bakeshop kitchen at our sister cafe, Palomino, this hands-on class will guide you through the tricks to making your best, handmade, buttermilk biscuits. Class is approximately 2.5 hours and is limited to 12 people. Class will take place inside our working kitchen. Please wear close-toe, non-slip shoes and clothes you don't mind getting flour on. Classes are for ages 14+. Our workshops do involve standing the majority of class time and working at counter height, kitchen tables in a professional kitchen space. In this class we will learn about the ingredients, methods and techniques that produce flaky, tender, and layered biscuits. We will also learn methods for altering our biscuit recipes to create different kinds of biscuit flavors - including herb-cheese biscuits and an orange-cinnamon.
Ticket price includes all of your ingredients, Honeypie's biscuit recipe and a drink ticket for the bar. You will go home with a batch of freshly made biscuits suitable for eating right away or freezing for another day!
Please note, we often have long wait lists for our classes. Tickets to class are non-refundable if you cancel without more than 72 hours notice. If you need to cancel within 72 hours of class, you are welcome to email us, and we will offer your spot to a person on the waiting list. If it is taken by someone waiting, we will refund your ticket. You are also welcome to give your ticket to a friend and they can attend in your place.
