The Pepsi Challenge

MIAMI (March 27 2025) – Based on a nationally conducted taste test Pepsi® Zero Sugar tastes better and is more refreshing than Coke Zero Sugar. To celebrate Pepsi has brought back The Pepsi Challenge—this time featuring Pepsi Zero Sugar. Premiering in New Orleans during Super Bowl LIX 68% of participants preferred Pepsi Zero Sugar – now through October the ultimate showdown experience is rolling across America inviting more than a million people to step up take the challenge and let their taste decide.

Starting March 27 The Pepsi Challenge is bringing the competitive energy to South Florida starting in Miami and Fort Lauderdale! Further key dates and information are as follows:

WHAT: For its 50th anniversary the Pepsi Challenge now meets the modern consumer showcasing the more refreshing and better tasting Pepsi Zero Sugar. This multi-market tour lasting until October recreates the classic format inviting everyone to see if they prefer Pepsi Zero Sugar over its rival.

HOW IT WORKS:

• Blind Taste Test: Challengers are presented with two unmarked cups – Cup A and Cup B – containing Pepsi Zero Sugar and Coke Zero Sugar.
• Taste and Decide: Challengers sample both cups taking their time to decide which they prefer.
• Make Your Choice: Challengers select their favorite cola which triggers unique celebratory moments for those with great taste.
• Score Pepsi: Pepsi will reward all challenge participants with free Pepsi Zero Sugar because even those with questionable taste deserve a second chance.
