About this Event

This is a free event, opened to all people and it focuses on breaking stereotypes andnegative attitudes towards Black, Indigenous, youth of color, while uplifting the artwork of local artists and youth, bringing community together with resources and supporting our local businesses and entrepreneurs.During these events we have showcased the arts and performances of over 75 local artists, and over 350+ artists over the years. More than 2,000 community members have attended past Urban Art Fests. This is the only community event in Salem with the mission to empower historically underrepresented arts with a focus on social justice and social change.
Our main goal is to support the positive development of young people who are systems impacted; meaning youth whose family has experienced incarceration. This event is part of a larger campaign, in collaboration with various community organizations, elected officials and leaders, to reduce and prevent youth violence in Salem-Keizer and Woodburn.

Join us for this year’s People’s Urban Art Fest — a vibrant celebration of culture, creativity, and community you won’t want to miss!
