The Oxton Projection House is pleased to present our next film: The Penguin Lessons 12A (2024). Based on a true story and the novel by Tom Michell, the film follows a disillusioned Englishman teaching English in an Argentinian school. Expecting an easy life, he finds the nation divided, in the middle of a coup, and the children in the school unteachable. Until he rescues a penguin from an oil spill and brings it back to the school, thus turning his life upside down.
Steve Coogan stars to great acclaim but let us be honest, the penguin steals the show! Be prepared for suspense, heartache and a few giggles.
