The Pedal Steel Show:
Get ready for an unforgettable three-city tour across Virginia with The Pedal Steel Show! This statewide extravaganza unites some of Virginia's finest bands, each spotlighting the soul-stirring magic of the pedal steel guitar. Feel the electrifying energy of The Wayward Leaves, experience the stage ablaze with Ramona and the Holy Smokes, and dance to the dazzling melodies of Rebecca Porter & the Rhinestone Roses. With each band bringing their own unique flair, this is a can't-miss event that promises to elevate your spirit and get your toes tapping!
REBECCA PORTER & THE RHINESTONE ROSES
Rebecca Porter balances her distinctive storytelling with the dynamics of her commanding voice in a unique display of soulful classic country.
A singer-songwriter born in Guam and raised in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, Rebecca Porter embodies the soulful, lonesome sound of the Shenandoah Valley with songs that are heartfelt and honest.
After a decade of honing her craft as the frontwoman of local cover bands, she transformed pandemic loneliness into two EPs - “Prime Rainbow Conditions” and “Queen of the Local”, the latter of which was successfully crowdfunded in March 2023. With completely independent legwork, Porter's music is making rounds nationally and internationally. Most recently, Porter was inducted into Rissi Palmer's Color Me Country Class of 2024 and featured on Good Country's editor's playlist "Ed's Pick".
Audiences react wonderfully to the fusion of Porter's honky tonk infused singer-songwriter sounds. She tours with a tight, professional band, The Rhinestone Roses, but can hold her own in a room solo if necessary.
RAMONA & THE HOLY SMOKES
Ramona and the Holy Smokes is a Honky Tonk band from Charlottesville Virginia, whose original country music recalls classic country from the 1950s and 60s.
The Holy Smokes are fronted by Ramona Martinez, a prolific singer-songwriter whose sincere and heartfelt music has been described as "incredibly relatable" and "earnest." She also pulls from her Mexican-American roots to perform and compose traditional Mariachi music in a Country Western style.
The current line-up of the Holy Smokes includes: Kyle Lawton Kilduff (Electric guitar), Brooks Hefner (Pedal Steel), Jay Ouypron (Bass), and Porter Bralley (Drums.)
After taking Central Virginia by storm, Ramona & the Holy Smokes are touring more extensively in the Mid-Atlantic, the South, & New England.
THE WAYWARD LEAVES
The Wayward Leaves is a new band project from Ross Wright (Rebekah Rafferty & the Wakes) and Curtis Wayne Patton (David Shultz and the Skyline) which fuses catchy pop songwriting with acoustic guitar and pedal steel.
