About this Event

Being a Strong Woman of Color doesn't mean flexing your muscle all the time with no break in sight or at the detriment of your health and wellness. It doesn't mean that you have to be in last place after taking care of everyone and everything. It doesn't meant that your self care has to be identified by the words, "I Don't Have Time," "I Never Have Time For Myself," or "That's Just Not Possible."

My Melanin Sister, just as much as you pour into others, hold it down at home and on the job, nurture the kids, the significant other, friends and family, YOU deserve to be poured into. You deserve to have time for yourself and to just be. DO, DO, DO, is not meant to define your well being. So, give yourself permission to just chill and be, step back and take a breath, because YOU are deserving to receive it.

The PAUSE AFFECT is an event that will highlight the benefits of self care and taking the time to separate from the noise and have a great time without having to do for anyone but YOURSELF! ISN'T THAT GRAND! The PAUSE it just as it states-a moment, a breather, a reset, a break for you to gain insights into how easy it is to take a PAUSE! The only thing you have to do is GIVE YOURSELF PERMISSION TO SHOW UP FOR YOU & BE AFFECTED BY GIVING TO YOURSELF!
