William Houck's Reflections on 50+ Years of Practicing Medicine
Join us for an exclusive event featuring William Houck, Jr., M.D., a
foundational member of our organization and esteemed member
of the Blue Ridge Hospice Board of Directors.
Throughout his remarkable career, Dr. Houck has amassed a
wealth of knowledge and profound insights from his patients,
many of whom faced serious illness and end-of-life challenges.
Dr. Houck will share invaluable lessons he learned along the way,
offering a rare glimpse into the human side of medicine.
With more than 50 years of dedicated service as an oncology
specialist, Dr. Houck holds the distinction of being Winchester’s
first board-certified oncologist in 1974. He played a pivotal role in
establishing the Cancer Center at Winchester Medical Center in
1987. Up until his retirement in 2018, he was a dedicated provider
at Shenandoah Oncology, where his commitment to patient care
has left an indelible mark on our community.
