Writing Poems to HealThis gentle two hour poetry workshop is for anyone coming to terms with loss, or anyone who is curious about the healing power of poetry.
Take part in a sensory exercise designed to draw you, through quiet meditation, into the language needed to describe loss. Explore how other poets have engaged in this healing process by reading and considering example poems. Play with figurative language as a way into finding words for unspeakable losses.
Welcome the poem-fragments, as they come.
Bring a notebook and pencil or a portable digital device to write on.
