Don’t winterize your boat just yet! Get your boat ready for a night to remember! Let’s light up the water! Lake Belton Boaters has partnered with Dead Fish Grill & Marine Outlet to put on the biggest lighted Boat parade Belton has ever seen. This event is going to be held for the first time in years on a Saturday night to allow more boaters to participate. We listened and want to make the night special for the whole lake community. You asked for it now it’s time to participate. Suggested themes can be whatever you can imagine. Some ideas might include Christmas, New Year’s, or USA. December 7th 1941 just happens to be the day America was attacked at Pearl Harbor honor by showing support for the President, Veterans & Military would be awesome.
Staging will begin at 5:00 pm in front of Franks Marina once completely dark we will proceed to the parade route to the DFG, the Dam, North Cliff, Arrowhead, TLP, well you get the picture. The procession will end at North Point Marina. This will allow people to view the parade from several places and allow folks to have a watch parties at their lakeview homes.
Remember LED lights really don’t need much power & can be powered by 12 volt power inverters usually or generators as options.
Since it is on Saturday we cannot give out gift cards to all the captains however an awards ceremony will be held and a party for all Spectators & Boaters at 4:30 pm Sunday December 8th at Dead Fish Grill. Come enjoy some free appetizers and have fun. You’re encouraged to stay eat dinner and have a few drinks.
Rick Smith will be the MC on Saturday night for the parade live on KTEM 1400. The judges will award the winners & notify Rick for him to announce the winners and give away prizes at DFG Sunday evening. The weather is usually perfect. Come enjoy two beautiful nights on the water & celebrate this glorious holiday season!
