Thursday, May 5 ~ 6:30 PMThe Paper Clip Project began 20 years ago when an 8th grade teacher in Whitwell, TN wanted to teach her students about tolerance. They collected over six million paper clips to represent the six million Jews that perished during World War II. Lori Vicker's talk will include an overview of events leading up to Hitler's reign in Germany.
She will share information about how the students were able to collect these paper clips and create a memorial in their town which is still drawing tourists to their community from all over the country.
This in-person program is free and open to the public.
