About this Event
When Richard Wood recently took over Omnitsky Kosher, a deli that's served Vancouver's Jewish community for three decades, he made a few changes. He found a new building, opened a small market section. And he hired a head chef: a Muslim Palestinian man named Mustafa.
Their little-known story is a testament to the possibility of peaceful coexistence between Canadian Jews and Muslims. Hear from them and enjoy a delicious private dinner prepared by Mustafa and his diverse kitchen staff on this special live event, put on as part of , an interfaith bridge-building podcast produced by The Canadian Jewish News.
Join podcast hosts Yafa Sakkejha, a Palestinian-Canadian peace activist, and Avi Finegold, an Orthodox rabbi, for a delectable, unforgettable evening of authentic Middle Eastern cuisine and storytelling.
This event is sponsored by the Canadian Race Relations Foundation, with support from the Ronald S. Roadburg Foundation.
Note: This evening will be audio-recorded and subsequently released as an episode of In Good Faith.
