The "Ongoing Fight for Freedom: Stories of NC Black Veterans" is a dramatic performance featuring stories of Black North Carolinians who have fought for freedom over the last four centuries. The performance includes the stories of Black Patriots of the American Revolution. This event is free to the public and does not require advance registration. The 80-minute performance will be followed by an artist Q&A. The Ongoing Fight for Freedom is performed by Legacy Heirs Productions. The play's development was commissioned and funded by the NC Department of Natural and Cultural Resources' (DNCR) America 250 NC Initiative and produced by DNCR & Carolina K 12. This performance is made possible by the National Park Service.
