In the yoga tradition Om is a sound that brings harmony to body, mind & soul.The Om choir sings ancient songs, sacred phrases and mantras from around the world, as well as the occasional popular song. Have fun and learn to sing together in unison, parts and rounds. And of course there will be some Om chanting too!
Singing together is so good for us on many different levels. It helps us to breathe well; it releases feel good chemicals into our bodies; it engenders a sense of community; and drops us into the heart space.
As a music teacher with over 20 years experience, Sangita brings a nice mixture of singing joyously with heart AND developing specific music and vocal skills to create a satisfying experience.
