The Olney Big Band is back in action! Their 17 piece ensemble - plus three superb vocalists - will play fabulous tunes from Big Band’s Golden Age and beyond. Dance away to the hits from Count Basie, Benny Goodman, Buddy Rich, Frank Sinatra, and all the greats, including a special tribute to Sammy Nestico (composer and arranger for Count Basie, among his many other contributions).
Get ready to snap your fingers, tap your feet, and hum those songs all the way home!
They have performed at numerous venues and private events, from the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland to hometown concerts and dances at The Olney Theatre Center, Blues Alley, the Strathmore Performing Arts Center and the Spanish Ballroom at Glen Echo Park.
Please note: This concert will take place in the Amadeo Room (downstairs) of The Church of the Resurrection in Burtonsville, MD. Wheelchair accessible.
No tickets are required; donations are greatly appreciated! We would like to suggest a $15.00 donation.
