Collective Voices for Change (CVFC) & Black Lindy Hoppers Fund (BLHF)PRESENTS:
✨ THE OLD SCHOOL ✨
An event primarily aiming to:
• Offer a learning space for Black and POC members of the community with culturally competent instructors.
• Introduce Jazz Dances (Lindy Hop, Jazz & Soft Shoe) of African American traditions to practitioners of other Street and Club dance forms.
Our panel of instructors are dancers who are well versed in these vernacular dances and are also connected to contemporary Black dance communities. Using their knowledge, they will bridge the understanding of music and movement of Jazz and Swing, for a weekend of fun exploration and exchange.

Online access: If you cannot attend or don’t manage to get a spot. Recorded classes will be available to the public 2 weeks after the event.
✨ REGISTRATION
Registration is Open for BIPOC dancers.
To ensure that Black and POC dancers have ample opportunity to register, we are opening a pre-registration period for Black and POC dancers who wish to attend The Old School. Pre-registration is open until September 15th, 2022. Stay tuned for general registration!
This event is limited to 60 registrations.
