The Nine Moons of Ago
From the unique storytelling minds of MórScéal in association with St Canice's Cathedral comes the world premiere of The Nine Moons of Ago a special theatrical experience for three nights only this March.
The Nine Moons of Ago, tailormade to be performed under The Museum of the Moon the breath-taking installation by artist Luke Jerram, which features detailed NASA imagery of the lunar surface is written by Georgina Brennan-Stynes with Michael Somers directing and Willie Ryan producing.
Set in an ancient village populated by field fairies, werewolves of Ossary and their Divine King, villagers turn the celtic wheel as the Holly King and Oak Queen battle for power in a unique theatrical experience where darkness is illuminated by the light.
The Nine Moons of Ago offers a spectacular performance exploring ancient lunar tales, traditions, folklore and the mythology of the eight Celtic festivals and supermoon superstition through drama, music and dance featuring local actors and musicians.
