Welcome to the 2024 Niche Program: Black Men and Boys Stream, a three-day intensive training program for and by Black men working with men and boys in the community. The program is spearheaded by the Harriet Tubman Community Organization (HTCO), in partnership with the University of Toronto - Talk It Out Counseling (TIOC) Clinic, Black Men’s Therapy Fund, Black Daddies Club and 100 Strong.


The Niche Program: Black Men and Boys Stream is designed for Black men ages 18-35 working and volunteering in the social service sector who desire to gain practical skills and tailored learning to better equip them in supporting men and boys in need.


The program is offered in a hybrid format with participants having the option to engage online or in-person. In-person instruction is held onsite at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work at the University of Toronto, and facilitated by a diverse range of Black men who are industry leaders in the helping profession.


Our participants are a diverse mix of community leaders, post-secondary students, and other men who are passionate about the work of supporting Black men and boys in effective ways.
