Dr Chis Pattison, University of Portsmouth, will describe the latest generation of space telescopes, how they differ from each other, and what their missions are. Using JWST as the key example, he will discuss why we want to take high resolution images of deep space and what they can teach us. He will show nd describe incredible images from these telescopes, and discuss why these telescopes are different to those that we've had before.
