About this Event
We'll start at the last stop on the "1" train. On the park side of Broadway, at the foot of the south stairs leading upstairs to the subway station.
We will be doing a loop and finishing where we start, at the 242nd St stop (Van Cortlandt Station) on the "1" train.
There are no vaccine or masking requirements for this hike or the dinner afterward.
At the end, we'll be within sight of the 242nd St stop, and people can take the "1" train home while those interested can have dinner at an affordable restaurant that will do separate checks. We should be reaching the restaurant around 7:00pm, the sun will set at 7:40pm.
You MUST keep up with the group! If you straggle behind and get lost, it will be very hard to navigate and you could easily wind up walking 5 miles before you find a subway.
At one point, we will be going 7 miles between bathroom breaks. There are bushes along the way.
Attendance at this event is free, and all participants attend at their own risk. By attending, you agree to a release waiver that basically gives up any right whatsoever to sue, to the fullest extent possible by law. You can read the current draft of this waiver ().
