About this Event

Join New Testament scholars Esau McCaulley (Wheaton College) and Janette H. Ok (Fuller Theological Seminary) as they introduce the New Testament In Color: A Multiethnic Bible Commentary on July 23, 2024, 6:30 PM at Payton 101, Fuller Theological Seminary.

The co-editors will be joined by practitioners and ministry leaders Tommy Givens (Fuller), Inés Velásquez McBryde (Pastor at The Church We Hope For), Rodolfo Galvan Estrada III (Vanguard University), Jeff Liou (InterVarsity Christian Fellowship), Alexia Salvatierra (Fuller), and Edgar Trey Clark (Fuller) conversing on Using the New Testament In Color in Our Contexts: a panel hosted by Chloe Sun (Fuller).

Esau McCaulley, PhD is the Jonathan Blanchard Associate Professor of New Testament at Wheaton College. He is a New York Times contributor writer and an award-winning author of many works including Reading While Black: African American Biblical Interpretation as an Exercise in Hope (IVP Academic) and How Far to the Promised Land: One Black Man's Story of Hope and Survival in the American South (Convergent).

Janette H. Ok, PhD is an Associate Professor of New Testament at Fuller Theological Seminary. She is the author of Constructing Ethnic Identity in 1 Peter: Who You Are No Longer (T&T Clark) and is currently writing a commentary on the Letters of John (Eerdmans) and a book on reading the New Testament as Asian Americans (Baker Academic). Dr. Ok serves as a pastor at EKKO Church in Anaheim, CA.
