About the Programme

"Letter, Testimony" is a screening that extends the themes of "The New Survivors", a moving-image exhibition first presented at Three Shadows Photography Art Centre, Beijing in 2023.
It features works by Nguyễn Trinh Thi [VN], ZHU Xiang [CN], Harun Farocki [DE], and Hu Wei [CN], exploring how contemporary trauma is recorded and revised through personal and communal letters, interrogating the production of narratives and images.
A post-screening discussion will take place after, where we will be joined by the curator of "The New Survivors" Wang Shuman [CN] & artist Hu Wei [CN] to further discuss into the themes of the programme, facilitated by multidisciplinary artist Ho Tzu Nyen [SG].
