About the Band
Stephanie Williams is a Brisbane-born vocalist, currently completing her studies at the Jazz Music Institute. With a voice described as sultry and expressive, she weaves together inspiration from such varied currents as Julie London, David Bowie, Anita O’Day and Lee Morgan.
Joined by some of the hottest rising musicians of JMI, Stephanie will be performing a selection of swinging and sizzling numbers. Expect to hear burning up-tempo swing, alluring latin and spellbinding ballads - along with one or two surprises.
Settle in with the Stephanie Williams Sextet on Wednesday the 20th of November for a bewitching experience that will resonate with jazz lovers and beyond.
